Kaivo personnel have been educating the public and private sector on the advantages of open, customer-controlled computing environments since 1986. Today, our core staff focuses on building Linux and Open Source technology solutions for government, non-profit and corporate clients. Since our inception, we have believed that the widespread adoption of open protocols and non-proprietary technologies results in higher-quality products and a greater degree of customer satisfaction.

Since 2001, Kaivo Software has been owned and managed by Ray Agostinelli and Paul Agostinelli in support of the ongoing mission to offer high quality software products and services using Open Source technologies.

Ray Agostinelli, President

After graduating from Dartmouth College with dual degrees in Physics and Philosophy, Ray entered the world of Open Systems development, with which he has been intimately involved ever since. He has held various upper and executive management roles in the intervening years, including Director of Technical Project Management for Information + Graphics Systems, Vice President for Technology of Skillview Technologies, Vice President of Operations for Information Foundation, and Founder and President of Kaivo.

Paul Agostinelli, Principal

Paul graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1985 with dual degrees in Physics and English Literature, and received a Master's in Literature from the University of Chicago in 1987. He has been working with computer technology companies since 1990, including Program Manager for Information + Graphics Systems and Vice President of Information Foundation. He also serves as the Vice President of the Great Mountain Zen Center in Boulder, Colorado, a 501c non-profit corporation.
